In a political climate already soaked in double standards, few episodes are as telling as the contrast between Elon Musk’s alleged drug-fueled tenure inside the U.S. government and the obsessive focus on a tiny bag of cocaine found near the White House Situation Room.

Let’s lay this bare, Elon Musk, a man who had daily access to sensitive national operations while serving in Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), has been credibly accused of extensive drug use. Not just casual partying, but regular ketamine binges, psychedelics, ecstasy, and prescription stimulants in cocktail like quantities. He reportedly left behind trashed offices, cannabis, roaches, and an infestation of vermin. Yet, not only has there been no criminal probe, he’s still hailed as a reformer.

Meanwhile, the infamous baggie of cocaine found in the West Wing in 2023? It kicked off a political firestorm. The case was briefly closed due to a lack of forensic evidence, but Trump’s new administration has since reopened the investigation. The insinuation, especially from Trump’s orbit, is that the Biden family, particularly Hunter or even Joe Biden himself, may have been responsible, despite there being zero direct evidence.

Let’s pause and absorb this.

One man is found surrounded by a destroyed federal workspace, drugs, and rodents, witnesses report erratic behavior and dangerous public stunts with chainsaws—yet he walks freely, unbothered, even congratulated. The other is haunted by speculation over a dime bag no one can trace, in a hallway used by tourists.

This is not justice. This is not even law enforcement. This is propaganda, selective outrage weaponized for political gain.

If the goal were truly about public safety, transparency, or accountability, Elon Musk would already be under federal investigation. But instead, we’re watching yet another probe into the same inconclusive bag of white powder while the billionaire in question jokes online about his “clean” drug test taken long after the alleged abuse.

Background on the cocaine case

  • Initial discovery: A tiny bag of cocaine (about 200 mg) was found in a cubby near the West Wing entrance on July 2, 2023. The area was accessible to tour groups, and the Secret Service evacuated the White House for testing.
  • Initial investigation: The Secret Service closed the inquiry 10–11 days later, citing no fingerprints or DNA and hundreds of possible visitors passing through the area at that time.
  • Political reaction: Trump and GOP figures speculated that either President Biden or Hunter Biden was responsible, though no evidence supported those claims.

In late May 2025, FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino announced on X that, shortly after Trump’s inauguration, the FBI would:

  1. Re‑open or escalate investigations into:
    • the 2023 White House cocaine find,
    • the Supreme Court’s Dobbs draft leak,
    • and the 2021 pipe‑bomb incidents near the DNC.
  2. He also said he receives weekly briefings and the FBI is allocating more resources to uncover lead.

Trump himself has continued to voice suspicion about the Biden family’s involvement, citing the lack of clear forensic evidence, and indicated an intent to get to the bottom of it.

  • Yes, the cocaine incident has once again become an active FBI matter under the current Trump‑aligned DOJ.
  • But, no new suspect has emerged yet, and there remains an absence of direct evidence linking the case to any individual.

If you’re thinking this is another one of Trump’s ploys to keep his base happy, and a waste of taxpayer money, you’re right. If you really wanted to find a serious drug user, one that has literally came clean about his use of several occasions, why not look to your right Mr. President?

This isn’t about who did drugs, it’s about who gets protected and who gets targeted.
